About Lexigo
Lexigo is a clue-solving word game played across a honeycomb of letters. The answers form one continuous chain: you trace each word through touching tiles, then use that word’s final letter to begin the next answer.
How a round works, step by step
- Start in the center
The highlighted tile gives you the first letter of the first answer.
- Read the first clue
Use the clue and stated word length to work out the answer.
- Trace touching letters
Spell the answer by moving from one neighboring hexagon to another—never jumping across the board.
- Continue the chain
The last letter of one answer becomes the first letter of the next. Repeat until every clue is solved.
HOW THE CHAIN WORKS
Lexigo works like a word relay.
Imagine a puzzle whose first answer is PLANT. Its final letter, T, hands the baton to the next clue, so the second answer might be TIGER. TIGER’s final R then begins the third answer, and the relay keeps running until the last clue is solved.
PLANTTIGERRADIO
A generic example—it does not reveal any part of today’s puzzle.
Useful solving strategies
Use the word length
Every clue states how many letters its answer has. That count rules out most candidate words before you trace a single tile.
Check both ends
You always know a word’s first letter from the chain—and its last letter must start the next answer, so solving a neighbor pins down both ends.
Follow the board
A word only counts if it can be traced through touching hexagons. If the path breaks, the word is wrong no matter how well it fits the clue.
Solve out of order
Stuck on a vague clue? Jump to a more specific one further down the chain and work backward using the shared linking letters.
